Alwayswater -  A web technology consulting agency

Below is some of our recent client work. We won't mind if you stare.

Featured Work

We Heart Fighting

Overview
To promote the upcoming release of Street Fighter 4, Ammirati and Alwayswater joined forces to create WeHeartFighting.com - a site dedicated to the love of fighting, both funny and fierce. We created a custom Wordpress install including two solid plugins (an e-card engine and a homepage organizer, allowing admins to set which posts appear on the homepage) and an elastic theme. In about two weeks, we created a robust and flexible custom Wordpress solution.

The FedEx Cup Golf Anywhere Challenge

Overview
To promote the FedEx Cup, Atmosphere BBDO was hired to create a contest allowing FedEx Cup fans to upload videos of themselves golfing "anywhere" for a chance to win some major prizes. When Atmosphere BBDO needed a development team to handle all the back-end dirty work, they reached out to Alwayswater. In about a month's time, we developed a simple, yet elegant CMS, a video transcoding service (allowing fans to upload videos in any format which were then converted to Flash) and a video storage and delivery service - all of which were accessible via well documented REST API.

Vitaminwater Make It Rain

Overview
Gilbert Arenas, otherwise known as Agent Zero, is an all-star basketball player and connoisseur of Vitaminwater. When Vitaminwater wanted to launch a hyperlocal contest featuring Gilbert Arenas, they turned to Ammirati and Alwayswater. Users had to upload videos of themselves doing trick shots in order to win a day with the Agent. We provided a custom CMS that delivered XML to the Flash front-end, a video transcoding service, an administrator voting system and a streamlined video administration process.

SuiteMatch

Overview
When we built SuiteMatch, a listing service for shared office space, we had three goals: make it focused, fast and free. The time we spent architecting, designing and developing SuiteMatch was a rigorous exercise in restraint. Any feature that didn't pass the 3 F's (Focused, Fast and Free) was tossed. Whether it was a custom RSS feed, an email alerting users when a space becomes available or a streamlined sign-up process, we designed SuiteMatch to do a single job well and get the hell out of way. In the end, we built a service that allows users to find shared office space through an elegant user interface that only consists of the features users need to accomplish their goals.
